Founded in 2008, CTU is 100% black owned and women managed Cooperative. CTU's Manufacturing Coop manufactures fully guaranteed products focusing on hospital linen and apparel/attire, and uniforms and corporate & personal protective clothing , including equipment. Operates from a 1400 m² building located in Doornfontein. Employs more than 100 employees, mostly women and youth.

Uses dedicated technologies (CAD) for design and manufacture of products. CTU's Manufacturing Coop intend to implement and support a business model that locates elements of product manufacture within communities, and it serves to assist local economic development and advance empowerment.
